Spring Greetings!
We’re all excited to see spring emerging all around. Yards are greening, garden centers are bursting with offerings, and fresh produce like spinach and radishes. It’s a beautiful time of year. Several customers have asked about a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) produce share. WE FOUND ONE! Farms that offer shares usually sell out by now but our friends at Earth Dance Farm located south of Spring Valley have some available.
- Spring Veg – We are able to get some early veg from State Line Produce. This week we have fresh Radishes (these are already going quickly), fresh batch of yellow potatoes and some beautiful onions. We anticipate getting more spinach, asparagus and anything else I can get my hands on for our veg-seeking customers.
- High Tide Fisheries – BIG HIT product. This has been an awesome addition to our freezer meats. Beautiful color (authentic!), fresh texture and delicious. Thank you to Luke and Kayla Wilson for their wonderful products. HEY! They also fish for halibut. Anyone interested in having that available?
- Bulk Foods – Don’t forget about our bulk foods section. Includes legumes (split peas, red kidney and black beans), wheat berries, popcorn and a variety of flours (wheat bread and pastry, rye, buckwheat, others available by order). BAKERS! Looking for large quantities of grain berries or ground flour? Let me know. I can order 25lb or 50lb bags of many varieties (wheat, spelt, rye, buckwheat, oats, various groats, and more.). We have some pre-packaged and some open bulk – byoc.
